I had the privilege of working with Tama for 2 ½ years. My office did not have a perio program and had patients with unidentified periodontal disease. Tama educated our hygiene staff, encouraged us and supported all our hygienists while we made transition of updating perio charts, FMX’s and having discussions with our patients about their gum health. Tama’s kind, caring, encouraging and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. She made what seemed like a very daunting experience into a very positive one. Tama helped make me a better hygienist! I could go on and on, but she really gave me the confidence to be a better hygienist and learn new things. Using fluoride varnish on adults, SCRP (had not done much of this in our practice), new patient charting, and using the Velscope. Having hard conversations with patients about periodontal disease and staging and grading gum disease.
Working under the mentorship of Tama has been the high point of my career as a dental hygienist! Her personal background across the board in the dental office, combined with her experience as a career hygienist, makes her the perfect go to for all aspects of dental hygiene.
